Weave Our Hearts Together

God is loving, forgiving, and faithful. Satan, on the other hand, is accusing, condemning, and deceiving.

It was on my heart to explain the difference between condemnation and conviction. Why would a loving God convict me of my sin when He's forgiven it and made me blameless before Himself?

Well, God loves us so much that He makes a beautiful, intricate, and intentional design for our lives. He gave us free will, so we would have the choice to accept His invitation or not. However, when we stray from His good, pleasing, and perfect will, He guides us back into His love, protection, and holiness. He does this through conviction.

Some of the biggest decisions in my life, I made because I felt convicted, because I knew God was calling me to something better. Remember that He knows the big picture of our lives weaving together with eternity.

Satan condemns us because He desires for us to feel guilty, ashamed, and lost. It's intention is to create a ridge between us and God.

God's intention is to heal the ridge between us that was created due to our sinful nature. God wants to bring us back. He wants to weave our hearts tightly together so we can be one with Him. That's how great His love is for us. We don't need to be ashamed because He's bought our freedom. He has provided a way for us to enter into His love and presence without guilt. Our God freely pardons, but we then need to turn our lives around.

God convicts us so we may walk obediently and humbly with Him. He convicts so we may be lead to repentance and righteousness. He convicts so we can have an intimate relationship with Him. So we can share in a close communion with Him. So we can become the best servants possible for His divine kingdom.
