Invade


 

Perhaps the moment we let God invade our hearts, is the moment we find true freedom, from the world and everything associated with it. Maybe the moment we invite the Holy Spirit to come into our hearts, is the moment we first grasp onto the Living Truth and therefore can never be the same. Maybe the moment we decide to surrender our lives to the Lord, is the moment that leaves us forever changed. For this is His affect on us. He is a God of life-giving, hope-sharing, joyful transformation.

This is the moment we let Him in. We let Him invade. We want Him to invade. He doesn't invade without permission. He doesn't force His way in. He hovers with peace and grace and love, until our heart's decide we want to join with Him. (Let me mention, that is the best decision one can make!). His invasion is peaceful, merciful, faithful, loving, patient, and joyful. His invasion is comforting, endearing, nurturing, and passionate.

If our hearts are where the Holy Spirit dwells, how precious the gift of communion with Him! His intentions are rooted and established in love. With the Spirit residing within us, we must take precautions to guard our hearts and minds. We must ask God for the strength to pursue Him, like He has done for us.

God, today we recognize Your Spirit and invite You to come invade our hearts. Come invade our souls. Come invade. Amen.
