Reveal His Heart

God likes to plan. He's organized, devoted, and gets excited about the future. He gets excited about us - His children. Are we excited about Him? Are we excited about our relationship with Him? Are we excited to get to know Him? His character? His heart?

God desires to talk with us. He desires a real and meaningful relationship with us. Is this what we long for as well? To be able to talk about anything with each other. To be able to laugh and enjoy each other's company. For genuine communion.

I think it can be easy to bypass the "get-to-know-each-other" stage with God because He already knows everything about us. He's our creator! But we haven't fully gotten to know Him yet.

We can learn a lot about His character through the Bible! We can also get to know Him through serving, volunteering in the church, and praying. If we truly desire this relationship to flourish and we ask God for that, He will reveal His heart to us. He will show us who His is. He will allow us to get to know Him and His character. And once we do, we will become better people, because we are longing to be more like Him.
