The Harder Route

If we walked through life and took every easy turn, we'd be lead to destruction. Our society is self-serving, self-centered, and greedy. We care more about convenience than about loving others. We care more about our personal desires than about honouring God.

We need to step outside of ourselves and make our sole focus and desire be God. When He's the center, life will become more radiant.

Easy is not best. It is often the harder route that brings about the most joy, learning, and peace, because it's the route God is calling us to.

It's not simplicity that allows us to learn the hard lessons, it's the trials. The pain. The suffering. The confusion. But through all that, when we trust God and follow His leading, we will be rewarded.

In my lifetime, God has shown me time and time again that He is faithful and that I should trust Him even when it doesn't make sense, because the hardships become my greatest reasons to praise Him. He has always lead me into these trials as well as out of them. He always teaches me what I need to learn through them. He can and will do it again. It all happens for a reason, and it's not a waste of time. Let God be God; He knows what He's doing.

Praise God for what He's doing in your life, even if it seems dreadful, let it transform your heart in order to live a Christ-centered life!

"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation." -Romans 5:3-4
