Canopy of Leaves

As I look at the canopy of leaves above me, I can't help but think of the Lord's goodness. We are all sinners and fall short of His glory, yet He still looks out for us, still protects us, and still loves us. He still desires a relationship with us.

This canopy of leaves, it hovers over us, but it doesn't get in the way. It doesn't leave us, it's always there, but it doesn't force itself on us. Jesus' desire for a relationship with us, it pursues us, it takes the first step towards us, but it doesn't force, it doesn't push, it doesn't pressure, it doesn't manipulate. Jesus is kind. He's gentle. He's soft. He's loving. He knows when to pursue and when to take a break. He knows our hearts. He knows what's best for us and what we need.

This canopy of leaves, it's inspiring. It's beautiful to look at and think about. It's God's grace that allows us to keep going and allows the opportunity for us to have a real, authentic, and unique relationship with God. It's a special opportunity. Don't miss out. When God takes the first step towards you, be the next one to take a step.
