He is Lord
When the wind dies down and the trees stop shuffling, what do you think of? Who do you think of in the serenity? When the waves become calm and only the ripples remain, what begins to go through your mind? Who begins to go through your mind? When the still of night comes over you, what is placed on your heart? Who is placed on your heart?
This calm, this peace is an opportunity to be still in Jesus' presence. We are called to just be still and know that He is God. Know that He is in control; know that we don't need to worry. He is Lord. Sometimes we just need a reminder that He is Lord.
There's a divine contentment that goes along with being still. There's a unique blessing that is made known when being still. It's also an art. It's the moments we're able to take a step out of our lives, and entrust them to God, that we're truly inviting Him to work in our hearts. It's surrendering everything we are and everything we want to be, to the One who has made us and has a vision for our lives.
Embrace His presence awhile; sit with Him in the calm, and repeat 'He is Lord'. This is the start of transformation, miracles, and change.
Invite Him in. He's our love. He's our life. He's our Lord.
