Sit Here and Wait

And so we sit here and wait. Wait for change. Wait for difficulty to pass and new to come. We wait for our time of deliverance. We wait for our time of joy. We wait to find shelter, redemption, and safety. We wait on the Lord.

I don't know about you, but I find waiting very hard. It's filled with uncertainty, no control, and difficult thoughts and emotions flooding my mind and heart. It's the time we are most likely to doubt God and His promises. It's the time we don't trust Him fully.

And so we sit here and wait. Wait for God to act. Wait for God to use us. Wait for Him to strengthen, transform, and uphold. We wait for God to fulfill His promises to us. But for now, we sit here and wait. The hardest part because it takes complete surrender. Yet the easiest part because we just have to take a step back and let God be God and let Him make the decisions and take the steps. Once He has, then we can patiently follow. He will tell us clearly what He wants us to do.

The world is so busy, fast-paced, and rushed. God has blessed us with a time of slow reflection. May this season honour Him.
