Our Good Shepherd

God is our Protector. We are God's children. He looks out for us. He takes action to redirect us when we've strayed from the path He wants us on. When we get lost, He finds us and brings us back. That's how much we mean to Him. The effort He puts into our lives is incredible! He is our Shepherd, and a good one at that!

He lays down His life for His sheep. He protects them with His life. There is a sweet bond between the Shepherd and the sheep. They have a special love. They know each other on a deeper level. The Shepherd is dedicated and committed to the safety of His sheep, and the sheep completely trust Him. They understand each other. The sheep listen earnestly for His voice.

This is the kind of relationship I want to have with Jesus. I want that sweet bond. That special love. That deep connection. I want to let Him be God in my life and that means not worrying, not taking things into my own hands, but completely trusting that He will protect us and take care of us. He knows our needs. He will do what is best for us. He is our Good Shepherd!
