Wait for the Blessed Hope

Jesus shows us the way we should live. Our ultimate goal for our lives is to become as much like Him as we can. We don't know how long we have left here, on earth, so we need to make the most of it. We have to make the most of every day. We are waiting in expectation for the Lord to return. We want to please our Father in heaven, and that's why we want to live righteous lives. We want to honour Him with our actions, words, and thoughts. It's becoming harder and harder to hold onto purity in this present age, so we ask God to give us the strength to fight for Him and the strength to do what's right.

He is our Blessed Hope. He is the One we desire communion with. He is our Glorious Saviour. We say 'no' to ungodliness because we want to be godly. We say 'no' temptation because we only want to be controlled by the Spirit of God and no other spirits. We want to give ourselves completely to God. We want to say a full 'yes' to Him, which means we change our entire lifestyle, we turn in the opposite direction, and we let go of everything we used to be. God is doing something new. Hallelujah!

"It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope - the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ," - Titus 2:12-13
