Bound by Love
Easter is a time of both sorrow and joyous celebration. It is a time to both reflect on the sacrifice made for us as well as to find new hope and life through Jesus.
Jesus was despised and rejected. He humbled Himself as a slave and a servant. He was a man of suffering. He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins, and whipped for our healing. He was led, like a lamb, to the slaughter. He voluntarily surrendered. Something that blows my mind is that the ropes and nails did not bind Him. What bound Him was His love for us.
Through Jesus' death, God's plan was fulfilled, and His wrath was satisfied. And through every pain, there is a victory to be claimed.
Death does not get the final word. Pain does not get the final word. Suffering does not get the final word. Jesus' death and resurrection changes everything! It secures a future for each of us. All labels from society wash away because Jesus will mark us, adopt us, and claim us as His and only His.
Jesus freely gives His resurrection power to us and through it we can be made alive, right here, right now, today! Jesus conquered ALL things on the cross. If there's something holding you back, I encourage you to name it and leave it at the cross.
Our Saviour is not dead! He has risen and He is alive.
