Calm, Cool and Collected
Being a follower of Jesus is not about having your life all together. We can come to God with anything and everything. We can give Him our hurts, pains, desires and hopes. We can come to Him with messy and broken relationships, emotions, and families. God doesn't care for us to have put-together lives; He wants to be our Comforter, Lover, and Healer. God will heal, restore, and renew our hearts and minds in order for us to become our best selves. We are our best selves with Jesus. He is the only One who can and will satisfy us, fulfill us, and make us whole.
The thing about Christianity is that we don't need to be completely calm, cool, and collected, we just need to have a desire for God, believe in what He did for us, and seek Him with our whole hearts. Our sweet Jesus will never let us down. He will give us exceedingly, abundantly more than we had ever wanted or wished for.
If we are so calm, cool, and collected then what room is there for God to work? For He works best through our weakness, hardships, and messiness. I'm not saying that our life has to be filled with only pain in order to experience Jesus, but I am saying that if we are in a good point in life, we must remember who God is and how much we need Him. There is no point in our lives when we won't need Him.
Jesus is at the center of our lives and is our main focus. His is our friend and our Father. He is evidently and actively working in our lives. All praise be to Him!
