The Big Picture
I love when we entrust the tiniest details of our lives to God and He takes them into His care and organizes them in a way that we didn't even think possible. I love when we take a look into our past or the past of another and we see how God had been working in and through their heart and mind. Sometimes when God tells us to do something, we don't want to do it. All we see is the task in front of us, and the knowledge that we don't want to turn our attention to something else. We only see details of our life, other's lives and God's plan, whereas God sees the big picture. Although it may make you feel uncomfortable to obey God, it will somehow all come together for good because it is a part of God's glorious plan.
God has already done the preparations for our lives and now we are living them out with God by our side to help us! God knows all the times when you are going to obey Him, and when you are going to disobey Him. But here's the difference between obeying and disobeying God, because it definitely was not in His plan for us to disobey, but He was aware that we were going to. God doesn't necessarily punish us when we disobey but we miss out on blessings. We miss out on a chance to bless someone at work or to serve a friend or to love a stranger. But the thing is, God uses us to show His love to others and to be His hands and feet, so I challenge you to try to obey God this week, just in the small things, because He's got this all figured out! It may take us out of our comfort zones, but it's fulfilling God's plan, and that's worth it. Just because we can only see brushstrokes, doesn't mean that God isn't painting a beautiful picture, it just means we are human, and therefore can't see all that is out there. But be still, because God can.
