What Lies in Your Heart?

My heart is filled with emotion, sensitivity, and love. These lie heavy in my heart. What lies in your heart?

The thing is, sometimes we don't appreciate our heart desires and sometimes we do. Sometimes our hearts are singing in sink with our minds and sometimes they aren't. Sometimes are minds are saying one thing and our hearts are saying another. But what does God say?

I think sometimes we view God as a big, hardhearted being where in reality He is a being of warm and passionate emotion, sensitivity, and love. All love flows from Him. Think about it for a moment. All of our emotions, feelings and thoughts come from the Lord. He is the beginning of them. Have we taken care of them and kept them pure and honest? All of our love comes from the Lord. He gives us the perfect example of love. Are we following after Him and His ways?

So our God is a being of love. How does He show His love to us? In so many ways that we are often blind to. He pulls our heart strings the way He knows we'll love. He might point our attention to a gorgeous sunrise and let us feel at peace in His glorious presence. He might bring a particular person into your day to offer you a hug at a time you really need one. He also sings love songs into our hearts. Do you hear Him? He's constantly singing, but we often fill our hearts and minds with too much noise from the world. I encourage you to let God fill your heart. Only Him. There's only room for Him.
