Passionate Songs
God loves music and He's the most beautiful singer. In fact, he's singing to us right now. Do you hear Him? It's an upbeat song about joy, happiness, and life! It's like quiet whispers until we turn our full focus on Him and it becomes loud shouts of joy in a voice filled with passion. That's right, He's full of passion. He wants us to know how much He loves us, cares for us, and will do anything to protect us. He is singing love songs to us. And He loves when we sing back.
I don't know about you, but my favourite part about church is the worship. When we sing to God, with our hearts, minds and souls surrendered, God smiles. He is pleased. Do you smile when He sings to you? Are you pleased?
Drums. Piano. Guitar. Violin. Flute. Clarinet. Our hands. Our voices. All things can be used to bring God glory. But we have to make the conscious decision to seek to please Him, praise Him and worship Him.
The Lord takes great delight in us. Because of His strong and powerful love for us, He sings. He sings to each of us, and to each of us He pours out His love and admiration.
What are we going to do with this information? This ground-shaking, life-altering news? Are we going to keep doing what we've always done, or are we going to let God change our lives? Personally, I want to be transformed by God and let His Spirit open my heart to hear the lovely songs my Saviour is singing to me. What do you want?
