A Place to Call Home
We always have a place to go; we always have a place to call home. When this life gets busy, crazy and overwhelming, we know that our Father in Heaven is always waiting to welcome us with open arms. He wants to be the friend we tell all our deep, dark secrets to. He wants to be the Father we need to be comforted by. He wants to be our everything.
And by golly, He is!
Sometimes we get too caught up in the drama, the pain and the imperfection of this life. Of our world. This is not our permanent home. This is where we are staying for the time being while God works on the perfect home for us. That's how much He cares. It's not going to end here. This is just the beginning of eternity.
Jesus is our home. He is our beautiful, safe, and perfect home. Our hearts are so deeply connected with His that we can dwell there, let that be our haven. Let Him be our refuge.
Remember that God always takes the first step towards us. He will pursue us, but He won't go too far to make you uncomfortable. He will not push and shove and force His way into your heart. He has made it your decision.
Jesus is the home we've always wanted, the home we always needed. A home filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control. A home that makes you feel warm inside. That makes you feel cared for, satisfied, fulfilled, and whole. If you are hurting today, or if you are loving life today, go, run to your true home with Jesus, He will meet you there, arms open wide, smile on His face, ready to say, "Welcome".
